Pakistan won its last match against Zimbabwe and complete the series with 5-0. This clean sweap will help to rank better in ICC ranking. After several defeats since one day world cup Pakistan graph was going down in Icc ranking. Now in the new ranking Pakistan will shif no. 5 from no. 6.
If we analyse the performance of the team then it is hard to conclude the team strength. The opponent Zimbabwe cricket level was just club team. Pakistan gave chance to many new faces but one cannot measure the new comers abilities too because the level of the cricket was not as competitive as other teams are facing.
The real skills have to show for players will be coming tour of Australia. The players must be fit psychologically and physically. Sofar the board and team is happy and satisfy from the players performance but i feel there are many areas in Pakistan cricket team which have to address properly. The team do not have any good combination of bowlers, Shoaib and Asif inclusion does not gurantee the strong bowling attack due to their fitness problems while the opening pair in batting is still quetion mark. Although Nasir Jamshed scored good runs in the series but he is not that impressive to face Australian attack.
