In a press conference the president of PCB Mr Dr Naseem Ashraf said it is really a sad decision but Shoaib akhtar behaviour was always irresponsible and he was awarded many chances in the past which he did not avail and continue his immature acts which ends into his 5 years ban from the cricket.

Shoaib Akhtar was baned for 13 matches in 2007 and was under observation for two years in which he was told not to do any act which break the discipline but he could not manage to act wisely and once again involved in criticising the selection committee.

Shoaib Akhtar can appeal within 7 days against the decision. Shoaib Akhtar already sent his apology letter to the board befor he appeared in front of disciplinary panel. His apology was turned down and the board showed no mercy for him.
