Chris Gayle ruled out

After registering two wins in as many matches, there was some bad news for the Kolkata knight Riders. Skipper Sourav Ganguly will not have the fire power of the West Indies skipper Chris Gayle for this season. Gayle has been ruled out of this edition of IPL. Gayle, who scored a blazing century in the Twenty20 World Championship against South Africa last year, was expected to play for Kolkata Knight Riders team by the end of this month. But the flamboyant opener has failed to recover from a groin injury occurred during recent Sri Lanka West Indies One-Day series. Though he is expected to spend some time with the team but will be away from action. Franchise have not named his replacement so far.
