Fatigue is a lame excuse for India

India started the world cup campaign as favorite and knocked out from the tournament in an odd fashion. Now the simply excuse is fatigue. This is an unacceptable excuse in the world of sports. The players participating in this event are not part time players. They are professionals and must be fit and relaxed all the time. It is just like a duty which they have to perform accordingly.
Gary Kirsten the coach of Indian team simply said IPL is the factor but if you go other way, IPL must give the players lot of practice in which many international players were also involved. All the Indian plans went in vain and three straight defeats put a question mark on the team capabilities.
Now Indian team is facing a media trial especially the captain Dhoni and coach. Media is rasing question about the relationship of Virender Sehwag and him. Some experts think ouster of Sehwag was a factor while other criticize on other issues.
Steve Waugh commented as It is the nature of Twenty20. It’s unpredictable, it’s a game of couple of hours and if you are not on the game and sharp enough and make little mistakes. And India bowled a few wides, Harbhajan bowled well but there were some uncharacteristic deliveries in the last overs and Yuvraj also made a fielding mistake.
I believe India was over optimistic about its batting line up. The batting was totally relying on Yuvraj Singh. While there no player in the middle order who play sensible game. Dhoni seemed to be out of form. Yousaf Pathan is a junk player. Jadeja do not have enough experience. Raina bat was also quiet. In such conditions the targets cannot be achieved. There was a need of consistency in batting which India lacked in the second round of T20 world cup.
Now it is useless to cry over spilt milk. Indian cricket management should join heads and look for coming tour of West Indies. The media should also play a positive role. Definitely Indian cricket will feel like the cup they were holding has been taken away this time.
