Windies crush India in an easy win

June 28th, 2009

West indies level the series with 1 - 1 after beating India in the second ODI played at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica. The match was low scoring where Indian batting flopped despite Dhoni 95 runs and Yuvraj moderate knock of 35. All other batsmen struggled against Rampaul, taylor and Bravo. West indian chase the target of 192 for the loss of 2 wickjets, Morton was notout with 85.

Dhoni said We should have showed bit more respect to the bowlers. It was swinging early on. We just went with our strokes and paid for it. Me and RP got some partnership going, other wise it would have been embarassment. We cannot just depend on one man to score runs each time [Yuvraj Singh].”

Gayle was glad to square the series. Ravi Rampaul and Taylor bowled well. There was some moisture and Taylor and Ravi used it well and got it to swing. You have to give credit to Dhoni who batted well with RP Singh.

Man of the match award goes to Ravi Rampaul.
