Pakistan escape from world cup repeater

Pakistan manage to secure two points in its first match against West Indies in Champions trophy first match. West Indies batting first scored 133 for all out, in chasing a small total Pakistan batting tumbled and later on with the help of Omer Akmal and Afridi manage to pass the score.

Earlier West Indies top order was demolished by Pakistan seamers and at one stage it seemed to be below 100 score match but later on the middle order and tail enders showed some discipline and added few score to fight. Pakistan openers Imran Nazir and Kamran Akmal fell cheaply while Shoaib Malik and Yousaf mangage to keep score board moving. Afther their departure the match became interesting but atlast Omer Akmal passionate knock mange to win the match.

The final score was

West Indies 133 all out

Pakistan 134 for 5

Pakistan won by 5 wickets (with 117 balls remaining)
