Drop Scene of Pak Kiwis series

November 11th, 2009

After lossing the ODI series by New Zealand, Pakistan loss the captain also, these words are blowming in whole country today, as per expectation Younus gives his resignation  again to chairman PCB.

Now the board hiding  the news that Younus give it by himself or taken by the board because as per Younus performance,  he made just 22 runs against Kiwis, as captain, here one thing  is very important that younis says he was not satisfy with the senior players by cordination, by behaviour  but as far as our concern,  the politics between board,  players, seniour most players are become traditional issues which is killing the cricket from Pakistan day by day.

As the world knows,  Pakistan  win  T20 World Cup in the captain ship of Younis Khan in  June 2008 in the presence of all senior players who are playing today also, but there were no miscommunication between  the players we noted, then after losing any title or match why the board and players shows that there are somthing wrong like, issues, why they shows this image of Pakistan cricket in front of rest of world.

Pakistan loss the series by New Zealand due to shame full batting performance, presure,  as well as    ir-responsible  captaincy and,  we should have to improve the above mentioned weak points,  not to blam each other, our prays and well wishes will always with the players who perform for their country and bring the flag to the top most position.

Pakistan cricket between dark and bright future

November 9th, 2009

Pakistan cricket team, if we think it gives us so many heroic images, names who serve for thier country in the way which become the pleasant memory of history of Pakistan cricket, Pakistan cricket history is full of these sort of names who rule the world of cricket, and if we goes for counting and writing thier names we need couple of days to do so.

Pakistan cricket team undergoes so many uncertain circumstances durig so many years specialy after the unforgateble victory and unpredictable performance  of Pakistan team with leader like great Imran Khan, to win the world cup of 1992.

Afetr that pleasant moments nation expect that they will win every title every tournament every trip but it can never be happen because this is the game and loss and win are the part of game, but audience do not understand, every player of the world in any team of game can never like to perform un likely due to  discrepancy  of the open eyes of media, so we should have to understand that our players like to play wants to winany title but as shown above loss and victory are the part of any game.

This is the way to apreciate  our national heros not like this, if they won the World Cup 1992, beats India so many times, win big titles, beats Aussies, Became the T20 world Champions and so many more battles in whish our players proves the name of our country from the bottom of their hearts but when any title or tournament they loss, from any medium of media ,from the nation they faces discrepancies, shame, etc etc. This is not the right way to react with that heroes who are represent our country our nation.

Farhat confirm shattered ties with ICL

September 4th, 2009

Pakistan opener Imran Farhat has confirmed that he has shattered binds with the Indian Cricket League, making himself on hand for official cricket. Farhat met Wasim Bari, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s chief operating officer, and submitted a no-objection certificate from the ICL.

The PCB, Bari said to media will take on the same process applied in the case of the other ICL players.

Farhat joined the rebel league in 2007, a year before the general migration of Pakistan players. All those affiliated to the ICL were banned by the PCB and kept out of domestic cricket. Some, including Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Yousuf, Naved-ul-Hasan and Imran Nazir, snapped ties with the ICL earlier this year and returned to the Pakistan fold up. The future of the ICL itself appears unwelcoming due to a cash crunch, with a majority of its players - both Indian and overseas - pulling out.

Farhat said he regretted joining the ICL and was desperate to play more cricket than the league was organising. “Joining the ICL was a mistake I realised later on,” he said. “I realised it when I found that playing for the ICL meant playing just one tournament in a year, which is not enough to satisfy the hunger for cricket.”

His ICL team-mate, Mohammad Sami, has also expressed regret at joining the ICL and is still awaiting payment due to him, which he claims is more than Rs 10 million.

“It was a bad decision because it ruined my international career,” Sami said. “But now I cannot leave the league until my dues are cleared.”

The fast bowler said he would meet former captain Moin Khan - the ICL’s representative in Pakistan - to get his dues cleared.

Jayawardene Plays Down Mendis Hype In Pakistan Series

January 19th, 2009
Ajantha Mendis

Ajantha Mendis

KARACHI: Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene Sunday refused to single out spin sensation Ajantha Mendis as the major threat for Pakistan in the one-day series.

The 23-year-old Mendis and his more illustrious partner Muttiah Muralitharan are tipped to hold the aces against the home team in the three-match series which starts here from Tuesday.

But Jayawardene said Mendis doesn’t carry extra burden of expectations.

Mendis, who made his debut in the West Indies in May last year, became the fastest bowler to get 50 wickets, achieving the total in 19 matches, breaking Indian Ajit Agarkar’s record of 23 matches.

Jayawardene said he would not like to put extra pressure on the newcomer.

Jayawardene refused to agree Sri Lanka are struggling with their overall form after losing to Bangladesh in the last league match and scrapping to a narrow two-wicket win in the final of the tri-series in Dhaka last week.

Chasing a modest 153, Sri Lanka lost their first five wickets for a mere six runs — the lowest total at the fall of five wickets in any one-day international — before Muralitharan’s 16-ball 33 saw them home.

Jayawardene admitted Pakistan are a dangerous team.

“Pakistan is always Pakistan for me. They are a very tough side whether they play regularly or not, so we will have to put up the best effort,” said Jayawardene.

The second match is here on Wednesday, while the final match is in Lahore on Saturday.

Lahore will bank on form to clinch title

November 14th, 2008
Lahore Badshah Vs Hydrabad Heroes
Lahore Badshah Vs Hydrabad Heroes

The script for the ICL 2008-09 finals has so far been a copy of last season’s so it won’t be a surprise, given that the Lahore Badshahs won the first of three matches, if the second game was tied.

But the Hyderabad Heroes will be keen to alter it instead of letting a bowl-out decide the championship. It will be difficult for them to overcome a Lahore side that has dominated its last five consecutive wins - the narrowest margin of victory in those games was a 13-run win against the Chennai Superstars. Everything has clicked for Lahore since beating the Chandigarh Lions by seven wickets at the start of this month. They haven’t lost more than five wickets in four chases and scored a whopping 211 in the one game in which they batted first. Hyderabad also put in a couple of masterful performances - beating the Mumbai Champs by 79 runs and the Royal Bengal Tigers by nine wickets - but seemed to have lost some of their spark after just edging past Bengal in the semi-final.

There’s no better time for Hyderabad’s openers - Jimmy Maher and Ibrahim Khaleel - to give their side a scorching start before Saqlain Mushtaq troubles them with his variations. They haven’t done so badly in the two matches they opened after Khaleel was promoted up the order - adding 49 in the first final - but in order to counter Lahore’s imposing batting line-up which includes Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf and the in-form Naved-ul-Hasan, Hyderabad will need something special from their openers.

The two teams opened the tournament with a farcical match which Hyderabad won after the floodlights failed in Lahore’s innings. The organisers will hope that if Saturday’s game is the last one in the season, it turns out just the opposite.
