The are many speculation about Pakistan performance against New Zealand in the ICC champions trophy semi final. Some saying Pakistan fixed the match, some said there was hidden agenda and few accusing India of influencing the umpires to favour New Zealand.

No such thing actually happened the only factors behind the loss were

1- Broken finger of Younis Khan

2- Some bad decisons by umpires

Younis Khan was playing the ICC champions trophy matches with his broken finger due to which he was not performing well in batting and could not manage to lead the side with his own performance. He did a big mistake of playing ICC matches while he was unfit. It cost Pakistan very dear when he dropped catch at the last moment where Pakistan can turn the match into his favour. It was an easy catch but avoiding ball contact with broken finger leads to drop the ball and drop the match too.

The other valid reason is the lbw decision of Umer Akmal at a crucial stage of the match but if some one see replay very carefully and find that the decision was difficult and Simon Tuffel was at an angle where he cant see the contact of the ball with bat. Only camera catched that thing otherwise the straight angle difficult to judge. There were few appeals which were against Pakistan when Pakistan was fielding and simply it was an unlucky day for Pakistan cricket fans.

Pakistan blow past India by 54 runs in the 6th match of ICC champion trophy and qualifying in the semi final round.

Why India lose this match? What is the reason bating or bowling?

Indian bating is good Gambhir, Dravid and Raina playing very well. Indian team’s poor bowling display on as the reason for their defeat against Pakistan and say it’s a bowling pitch but if bowlers maintains there line or length its hard for Pakistan to create a big total

Idian batsman put up a good show but failed to make a big partnership. They got off a good start but didn’t capitalize on that.

 The other reason is that Pakistan bowlers exploited the conditions better. The Pakistanis bowled to a much better line and length and that was one of the reasons for Indian lose the match.

In the 8^th match of  ICC champion trophy England beat Southafrica by 22 runs

England captain won the toss and elected to bat first. England put up an excellent  performance with Man of the Match Owais Shah leading the way with his quick-fire 98. Paul Collingwood (82) and Eoin Morgan (67) also made important contributions as England made 323/8 in 50 overs

South Africa batsman get o good start but could not chase the huge total 323 and could not make a big partnership. captain Graeme Smith make 141 score for the team. South Africa finish the innings 301 runs in 50 overs and lost nine wicket.

In the 7^th match of ICC champion trophy NZ beat Sri Lanka by 38 runs

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field first but the Lankan bowlers cannot maintain their performance. Kiwis put up 125 runs for the first wicket after that they lost quick wicket in the middle and the team put 315/7 in 50 overs. Jesse Ryder make 74 runs, Guptill make 66, victory use full knock of 48.for Sri Lanka Jayasurya get 3 wicket and Mathews get 2 wicket

Chasing the target of 316 Sri Lanka start very well, but lost the way to finish at 277 runs in 46.4 overs just two batsman make 50 up score Jayawardene  make 77 , Kulasekara make 57 and Dilshan contribute 41 runs. For NZ Mills take 3 wickets and Tuffey, Franklin and Vettori take 2 wickets each and Vettori also get man of the match award.

Icc champions trophy important match between India and Pakistan went in favour of Pakistan despite top order flop along with undisciplinedbowling which cost them over 30 scores in no,s and wides along with free hitting score.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, the top order went cheaply and then rest was handled nicely by Yousaf and Shoaib Malik who added on 200 + runs in Pakistan total of 302 runs. The last 5 overs which was a power play game Pakistan could not manage to score a lot and wickets tumble. However 302 was a good score to defend.

Indian faced the first loss when Tendulkar was out early in the innings. Later Gambhir played aggressively along with Dravid who gave him a good support but Gambhir was run out which put pressure on India. Raina showd some resistance in the middle order but after his departure the match was in hands of Pakistan and Pakistan won comfortably.

A brilliant batting by Dilshan Jayawardna and Sangakara secure 2 points in an inaugural match of ICC champions trophy 2009. South Africans were not comfortable in the whole match. Srilankan batsmen and bowlers played a master piece of cricket to overcome strong Africans.

Dilshan scored 106 runs in only 92 balls while Sangakara and Jayawardna scored 57 and 77 respectively to put Lanka in a strong defending total. Later on South African wickets tumbled periodically and at last rain started which decided the match in favour of Sri Lanka.

ICC champions trophy schedule to start today with inaugural match between South Africa and Srilanka. This event is considered as biggest event of ICC after ODI world cup. The top 8 teams will take part in this event and are grouped in two pools. Pool A comprises of 4 teams including PAkistan, India, Australia and West Indies, while pool B consist of Newzealand, Srilanka, Bangladesh and South Africa. South Africa is a host of this event and considered as favourite too if they manage to control their nerves in semis and finals. Australia is the last time ICC champions trophy winner.

The other strong contestents are Australia, India, Srilanka and Pakistan. Some experts are ruling out India as favourite and putting Newzealnd in top four but the Indian players can bounce back at any time. The group A is considered as tough as compare to group B, where Australia, Pakistan and India are facing with each other along with West Indies which is considered as weak team. Among India Pakistan and Australia, the teams which will lose two matches against each other will be knock out, so pressure will be on players.
