Sami is wicket less good bowler

November 25th, 2007

mohammad samiMohammad sami is a wicket less good bowler. He proved many times despite his good bowling he hardly went through the opposition batting line up. There must be some technical error in his approach.

His speed is fantastic, he can move the ball both sides but why he is not able to be productive. Pakistan coach should think about this and he can make him wicket taking bowler with some effort. Last time he got tips from great bowlers like Imran Khan and Sarfraz Nawaz but still he could not manage to become lethargic or at least get few wickets.

He is among one who can really bowl fast but not in those whose luck works. I really feel pity on him. A luckless good bowler.

The wall of Pakistan Misbahulhaq

November 22nd, 2007

http://eap.cricinfo.com/db/PICTURES/CMS/82000/82038.3.jpgHaq was replaced by Haq in Pakistan cricket. I am really impress by this guy. His behavior while batting is excellent. The Dehli India Pakistan test match is on and the new Haq truly becomes wall against Indian bowlers and refrain them to put Pakistan in deep shit. Misbah since his inclusion in Pakistan squad proved himself to be a world class batsman. Either it is T20 or 50 overs he become the backbone of Pakistan batting and now in test cricket he continue to show his great performance. He and Sami played beautifully to move Pakistan score towards a defendable total.

I was just reading an interview of Waqar Younis where he was asked about Misbah, he told that he was considered to be included long time ago in Pakistan squad but unfortunate for him at that time we were unable to create a room for him.

He is also 32 years old. I hope he can continue his cricket as long as possible for Pakistan cricket.

Shoaib Akhtar celebrated Indian victory

November 20th, 2007

Recently the news appears in Indian newspapers about Shoaib akhtar activities. In recent pictures Shoaib was shown with Indian players in a disco where they were celebrating series victory against Pakistan.

Shoaib Akhtar went outside the hotel premises to take his dinner but was later found with Indian cricket stars Tendulkar, Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh. Shoaib is still the main source for Indian press to write on his activities which the PCB had forbaded him.

I think his performance is good enough and we should not criticise him too much. If he have extra curricular activities and which does not affect the team should not be banned and let him enjoy his life.

Sarfraz Ahmed may takeover Kamran Akmal

November 19th, 2007

Sarfraz Ahmed the new Pakistan reserve wicket keeper might tae over Kamran Akmal due to Akmal poor performance for the last couple of series. Sarfraz Ahmed paid his duty very well behind the stumps in the last ODI against India. His gesture was excellent and he kept on boosting the moral of players by keeping himself busy verbally.

In the test series he is a big candidate to do his job behind the stumps by putting the Kamran Akmal career in danger. Kamran have only one plus point which is his experience. However we will love to see Sarfraz Ahmed behind the stumps in coming test series.

Promising young players manage consolation win

November 19th, 2007

young pakistani cricketersPakistan cricket management tried another combination and gave a chance to young cricketers. Most of them were sitting outside during the last four one day against India which India manage to win 3. The series was already won by India but the the promising young players gave a message by winning the fifth match that they are better than oldies. The new wicket keeper Sarfraz and Fuad Alam really played impressively. Shoaib Malik the captain of the visiting side also gained his form by a good knock from his bat.

This win is just consolation for Pakistan side but surely it will boost their confidence for coming test series which is now the most important assignment for them.

Shoaib Akhtar wanted to see Sanjay Dutt

November 19th, 2007

shoaib akhtar backThe Pakistan bowling pace attacker wanted to see Sanjay Dutt an Indian film star who is observing an imprisonment for having an illegal gun. Shoaib requested the team management for his desire but the manager refused to give him permission to fulfill his desire. The manager of Pakistan cricket team told the press that this kind of permission have to be taken from the Govt of Pakistan because the players cannot leave the tour destinations for any reason. It is because the players attention from the game can be diverted. There is a good news for Shoaib, Sanjay is going to be release on bail and he can see him in Mumbai. Shoaib have also bought a gift for Sanjay. He can present him when they will see each other.

I was wondering why Shoaib is interested in visiting Sanjay. May be he wanted to carry on his assigned films which Sanjay could not finish due to his imprisonment.

Pakistan lack of confidence

November 16th, 2007

India outclass Pakistan in one day series by winning the third one day cricket match at Gwalier. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Once Pakistan batted after winning the the toss i understand they are finding the safe corner. But attacking cricket is the most safe corner in one days.

The way Shoaib Malik batted was totally no confidence at all. The partnerships were build but not any swift runs seen in any partnership. The batsmen were on defending side instead of charging. This problem was not only in the last match rather in the whole series. On the same wicket Tendulkar charges the Pakistan attack which resulted in a comfortable win.

Even Pakistan batsmen were unable to avail the lose deliveries. The lose deliveries were treated by all the batsmen with defending shorts.

I was surprised when Shoaib Malik defended the batting by blaming the bowlers. One must keep in mind the bowlers needs assistance from batsmen. If the batsmen score a good total then the bowlers will attack more and vice cersa.

Now there will be less importance of the third one day but still good cricket can be seen from both sides.

November 13th, 2007
کرکٹ گیند

A new pink cricket ball will give a new color to a game of cricket. The ball is under prototype and have not been use in any kind of domestic or international cricket yet.

The pink ball will have advantage on white ball of having color stability. The ball can be use for long and no need to change the ball during a match due to de colour or non visible to batsmen. The white ball is less visible in flood lights.

The experiments are on the way to introduce the ball in short form of game soon. Mcc intends to use this ball during the net practice in lords and later on will be use in 2008 for women cricket competition.

Every day is not sunday for Pakistan

November 11th, 2007

India 2 - 1 after beating the arch rival in the third one day international. Dhoni and Yuvraj put India in a reasonable total to defend while on other hand Salman Butt century also did not save the match.

India started with a luck when Ganguly was dropped by the out of form Pakistani wicket keeper on the very first ball which creates uncertainty for Kamran Akmal to continue his tour. He continue to drop the catches sice last series with South Africa. This was the main factor of Pakistan defeat. Later on Yuvraj and Dhoni manage to put a partnership to avoid early exposure of tail enders.

Pakistan batted in the similar fashion as the previous match but every day is not Sunday in cricket. Some times the planning goes wrong and it happened, the whole team was out 248 runs.

The next match will be crucial for both teams and will be the game of nerves.
