Pakistan have won  T20 series by 2-0 against Newzealand played at UAE, Akmal brothers performed very well and  lifetd Pakistan 153 for 5,  specialy teenager Umar Akmal smashes the Kiwi bowlers, he made unbeaten  56 runs with  5 fours and 1 glorious six on 49 deliveries, Kamran Akmal hit 4 fors and i six and scores 26 runs. 

Scott Styris and Brendon Mccullum shows  optimum efforts to face Pakistan bowling, their partner ship of 66 runs lifs  Newzealand in better position, Mccullum hit 3 fours and a six, but hunted by Saeed Ajmal.

Mccullum was quite satisfied  with the performence of Kiwi players against the World Champs, and said Pakistan is a dangerous team and have ability to change the game in  unbelieveable way.

Shahid Afridi another 50 mange Pakistan to repeat the T20 performance against Sri Lanka. Afridi scored third consecutive half century to contribute a defendable total of 172. Pakistan disciplined attack did not provide any room to Sri Lankan batsman to even kiss the total. A good knocks from Imran Nazir, Omer Akmal and Abdurrazaq gave confidence to the team to defend the total easily. The series although was a nightmare in which Pakistan lost test and one day series but last two ODI and maiden T20 victory give Pakistan cricket a relief.

A sell-out crowd of 35,000 at the overflowing Premadasa stadium watched the first T20 match between the two teams since the World Twenty20 final in England in June, when Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets.

The result was the same as seamer Rana Naved and off-spinner Saeed Ajmal picked up three wickets each to stun the hosts.

Sri Lanka lost wickets at regular intervals with skipper Kumar Sangakkara the only batsman to offer resistance against the fired-up Pakistanis with 38 off 31 balls.

Afridi, who was man of the match in both the semi-final and final at the Worlds, once again won the award as Pakistan ended an otherwise dismal tour of Sri Lanka on a winning note.

Pakistan had lost the preceding Test series 2-0 and conceded the one-dayers by a 2-3 margin during the six-week tour.

Afridi hit two sixes and four boundaries after taking over the Twenty20 team from Test and one-day skipper Younus Khan, who has retired from the shortest format of the game.

“I told the boys before the match that we were world champions and so we should go out there and play like champions,” the 29-year-old Afridi said.

Pakistan cricket team is a new champion of T20 world cup event. Pakistan beat Srilanka in the final played at lords. Srilanka won the toss and elected to bat first, they posted 138 runs in a stipulated 20 overs. pakistan achieved this target in 19th over losing only 2 wickets and clinch the title.

Pakistan bowling showed no mercy to England batting. The disciplined Abdurrazaq got three early wickets to put Srilanka under pressure. However Srilanka manage to score a decent total of 138 due to capatin Sangakara sensible innings. Green shirts left no stone unturned to win this final and all the team members played in a united way to give a memorable gift to the nation.

Inreplying Srilanka total Pakistan got a solid start from Akmal and shahzaib and gave a platform to next comming batsmen. Pakistan beat proteas South Africa by 7 runs in the first semi final of T20 world cup 2009. This is the second consecutive time Pakistan reach the semi final of only T20 world cup held. Pakistan batted first and scored 149 runs. At one time Pakistan was able to score over 170 runs but the last 5 overs from South African bowler made it not possible. Shahid Afridi 50 in only 36 balls helped Pakistan to maintain the momentum along with 36 from Shoaib malik and 22 not out from captain Younus Khan.

South Africa started their innings in an impressive way. Talking with media here at the Defence Stadium on Wednesday, Shahid Afridi said that this team is not mine but of Pakistan and I agree to the selectors’ pronouncement.

LAHORE: Dashing all-rounder Pakistan cricket team Shahid Khan Afridi said he has learnt a lot from his mistakes like wise a test ban on Indian player Gautama Ghambir would teach him a good lesson which would benefit him in future from the disciplinary point of view.

Earlier, one Test match ban was put on Indian batsman Gautama Ghambir who, overthrowing the disciplinary rules, kneed Australian bowler Shane Watson during a Test match.

Last year Gautama was fined for misbehaving and chanting remarks on Afridi. He said that Ghambir replicated his delinquency, which he committed on November 9, 2007 during a match against Pakistan.

He enthused me to misbehave by calling me name during a match while running for runs.

 Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar back in the national squad for next months Champions Trophy and sources in the Pakistan Cricket Board PCB said Wednesday that the national selectors wanted to judge for themselves whether Shoaib is fully match fit by watching him in action during the three practice games at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Which were supposed to be played from Aug 5-9 but the opening game was washed out the other day and according to forecasts, heavy monsoon rains are expected in Lahore during the rest of the week putting a question mark on the other two games to be played Aug 8 and 10 and the problem for Pakistan is that Shoaib is not the only key player with doubts over his fitness. Umar Gul, too, is yet to prove his match fitness while senior all rounder Shahid Afridi and left-handed opener Salman Butt are also plagued with fitness problems. The national selection committee has to finalise Pakistan`s 15-man squad for the Champions Trophy by Aug 11 a day before the International Cricket Council ICC deadline for submission of final squads for the eight-nation tournament to be played from Sept 12-28. The four players including Shoaib will be drafted in the Pakistan team subject to fitness. The Champions Trophy is still around five weeks away and the players will have plenty of time to prove whether they are match fit said a source pointing that the PCB might arrange for practice games later this month if the Lahore matches as disrupted by rain. Shoaib 32 has not played for Pakistan since featuring in the fourth one-dayer against India in Gwalior last November. Since then he has been out of international action because of injury problems or suspension due to disciplinary breaches. Pakistan are eager to have him back in the team after they flopped in the Asia Cup at home earlier this summer. Their toothless bowling attack was blamed for Pakistans defeat in the 6-nation tournament.

The unpredicted Pakistan cricket batting collapsed in the third one dayer against Zimbabwe. The top order Salman Butt, Younis Khan, jamshed, Yousuf and Shoaib Malik were in dressing room at 75.
